I think that was a good call because last night when Amber proved to Bret that she wasn't wearing panties (during dinner) I felt a little itch, down there. As I mentioned at the beginning of this week, I have a big project I'm working on which is taking up ALL of my time, so unfortunately my postings have been a bit sparse. Here goes a few quick sketches from this week's Rock of Love......
Here's Mr Michaels and his heavily lined lids sorting through his bevy of beauties.
This is Kristina and she's seemingly normal. Which makes me wonder why she's there. Hmmmm???? Maybe she's the craziest of all? Maybe she runs an underage, underground, pit bull/ cockfighting/ escort service for overweight professionals in their late forties? Or maybe she just wants to find love with Bret Michaels? I think the previous option is more likely.
This is Angelique and she's quite possibly the most amusing character I've ever seen on reality TV. She's a french stripper who will get naked with little to no encouragement and constantly says that she's going to, "Fuqe eeem zoooo good."
Angelique left this week and part of my reality TV dream died. I thought she and Bret would have been perfect together.

Here goes round two of the skankfest known as VH1's Rock of Love. I am a BIG fan of crazy people on reality TV and this show is an all you eat crazy buffet. It's a hot, sloppy entree of crazy with a side dish of rampant skankiness, finished with a nauseating bowl of yuck with a scoop of palpable desperation on the side. Mmmmmmmmmm delicious.
Bret Michael faces the weighty decision of which skank to call his own. It's a tough call.
This is Inna, the Ukrainian love gun as Bret called her. Inna is a perfect melding of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, former wrestler Chyna, and a pinch of Kim Kardashian for some add skankiness. She and the dazzling french he-she Angelique got especially skanked up to get Bret's attention. Here's my interpretation of Inna's outfit..........

This is Angelique and she's by far my favorite. She's either french or perhaps she had a horrible inner ear infection while she was under going a gender reassignment surgery which somehow f**ked up the way she speaks. I'm not a doctor though. Everything she says is in subtitles. Above is a visibly touched Angelique who's listening to Bret sing his classic "Every Rose Has It's Thorns." The subtitles on the screen read, "Heez Zo Hot!"

This is Catherine and I believe she graduated from high school in 1963. That's just a guess though. She's part Mary Ann from Gillian's Island and part Elvira Mistress of the Dark. I don't imagine she'll be the one Bret picks, but I could be wrong. Maybe he has a marooned on a desert island- hot halloween enchantress fantasy. Maybe???????
There you have it. I think I've been bit by this show, which means I'll be drawing it every week and that I should go to the free clinic to have the bite checked out.
All drawings are ink on paper done in between ten to thirty minutes. One glass of Zinfandel. One glass of Cabarnet.

As enticing as the prospect of following a bloated ex-hair bander's quest for love, I just couldn't do it. My friend Audra highly suggested that I give this season a try. And so I did. I Tivo'd Sunday's premier episode and had a look at it last night. My BF, my BFF and I were all cringing, laughing, vomiting, and having a grand old time watching as a herd of 20 skanks was trotted in front of Mr Michaels. There were maybe one or two of them who weren't full blown skanks (yet) but the rest were.... were.... veterans of skankiness. They are majored in skankiness in college high school beauty school.
Here is Bret Michael. I know I heard him say at some point in the show that he's 40. The sound certainly must have gone out or there was a glitch in the sound editing as I'm sure he went on to say he's 47 or 48. If he really is 40 then that should serve as PSA about what too much alcohol and over exposure to skanks can yield. I do like that Bret wears eyeliner.
There were 20 skanks for Bret to pick from which is too many to draw. So I'm starting with just three of them.
This is Ambre and if I were told that she was born in 1953, I'd believe it. I imagine Ambre has at least 12 restraining orders taken out against her by former boyfriends, neighbors, coworkers and baristas.
This is Daisy the "sex kitten" as Bret called her. Daisy has two stars tattooed on the front of her neck which is always a good look. I'm going out on a limb here, but I feel certain that Daisy isn't very concerned with politics.
This is Aubrey and if you told me she was born Andrew, I'd believe it. Aubrey had the den mother-ish advice for her fellow contestants when she told them, "You better step it up bitches." I'm curious if anyone else confused Audrey with that french he-she Albine?
So there you have it. I haven't decided if I'll draw this show every week but I sure had fun watching. It's guilty TV watching at its worst.
