When I first saw these very important photos of super-buff shirtless Jake Gyllenhaal, I wondered what in holy hairy hooter hell was going on?!?! I was confused by the heinous styling, turned on by all that unshaven man splendor, felt like sh*t about my own body, and was grateful for the time Jake spent at the gym. Turns out his new buffer body is for his role as Prince of Perfection (?) in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. I can already tell this is going to be a great movie, probably like Troy. Actually Troy sucked but I could watch Brad Pitt and Eric Bana sword fight all day.
So after looking at those photos a little too long, I put on my running shoes and headed off to the gym. Barf. And I couldn't shake that Jake was reminding me of something. But what? Hmmm.......... Then it hit me-- He-man! He reminded me of that 1980's cartoon He-man and The Master's of the Universe. Maybe it was Jake's long hair, or his giant man chest gone wild, or that outfit he's wearing, or maybe I'm just crazy, but it made me picture Jake in that same skimpy He-Man outfit wielding a big sword. And that's how I've chosen to depict him.
Thank you Mr. Gyllenhaal for... for.... for everything! I'm much appreciative.
