So..... it seems like Britney Spears is keeping it together (for the most part) on X Factor. Right? She does though have a pained expression most of time and not entirely sure what that's about. Is 2007 Britney kicking and screaming to break free? Hard to tell but I will tune in to watch Brit Brit's grimace. I do love her though.....

I will begin by saying that I feel a little gross about doing this illustration. The last few weeks, I have tried to stay away from drawing Britney Spears and her unraveling. I really have. I look at her and wonder what the hell has happened, what is happening, and what will happen????????? Even people I know who could care less about celebrity gossip have been asking me about her. Britney's clearly blazing an erratic trail towards somewhere, I'm afraid, may be really bad.

I really thought I was going to be able to go at least another week before I drew Britney Spears. That ended when I saw photos of Britney in a $2 hot pink wig from last night. I'd like to think that she was trying costume looks for Halloween, but I doubt it. Yesterday was a full one for the Brit. Not only did she drive around in that wig but she also turned herself into the LAPD last night. While we all await her actual fugshot mugshot, I decided to make my own version. I bet the real one isn't so far off.

Today we were mistreated treated to a sneak peak at the cover art for Brit's upcoming cd Blackout. In light of Brit's lady bits popping out to say hi recently, I think actually blacking out those parts seems appropriate. Art creating art. Thanks Brit.

I was honestly looking forward to doing some sort of celebratory illustration in honor of Britney's much hyped comeback. From the first glimpse of her and her two toned hair and blue contacts I knew it was going to be trouble. It was hard to tell if she was in a fast food induced coma or on horse tranquilizers. I sat with my hand over my mouth for the whole thing and I don't think I breathed once. Afterwards I laughed and then felt kind of sick. Why did you make me do this Britney?
I want fantasy Britney back. I want that lip syncing- dancing up a storm I'm A Slave 4 U Brit back. I'm sure the ghost of Brit Brit past would apologize to us if it could.
I have hope, albeit slim, that she can still maybe pull off a comeback. I'm desperately trying to end on a positive note.

It's official, Britney will be performing at the VMAs this weekend. I'm so excited I'm going to pop in one blue contact, use a gas station restroom barefoot, or maybe I'll wear shoes, get some junk food, and celebrate! Can't wait until sunday night! Go get 'em Britney.

Brit was up to her usual assault on our eyes today by wearing a shirt with no pants which allowed her generous ass to be photographed by the paparazzi. She decided to take an extra fashion risk and sport a single blue contact. Why Britney, why? Any more, her back side is getting as much exposure as her front so I decided to be bring them both front and center for your viewing displeasure. Sorry.
