This would be round two of my Tivo line and wine drawings for my absolute favorite show, Project Runway. Now there are plenty of other reality shows that I like to poke fun at, however I have nothing but complete love and admiration for the contestants on PR. I marvel how each of them can turn a couple yards of fabric and some embellishments into a fully realized garment. Amazing.
Since I just began doing these drawings for Project Runway a week ago, I unfortunately didn't get a chance to draw Jack Mackenroth. He chose to leave the show a few episodes ago due to health concerns. I definitely respect how open and honest Jack is about his life. So here goes my drawing of Jack......
Bravo to you Jack for being so up front about your life and bravo to Bravo for having such entertaining TV. I hope the show lets Jack back on next year as we were just beginning to see his talent.
This would be Sweet P and I wish she lived next door to me. I'd like to give her a hug every day and chat about what kind of tattoo I'd get if I wasn't such a chicken. I liked her Ginger Grant-ish dress tonight. She seems to get better with each challenge. I think she may make it to the final three.
This would be Rami and I appreciate the shot of him in a towel at the beginning of the show. Nice. Whether or not he wins (which seems very likely that he will) I imagine we'll be seeing his designs on the red carpet. I'd like to add that I find Rami to be rather hot. Just in case you were wondering.
This would be Kevin and unfortunately someone has to go. He got Heidi Klum's auf wiedersehen. I didn't think his dress was the worst last night at all. I'm also bummed he left because I really enjoy drawing him. I imagine we'll be seeing a lot more of him as well.
So that ends this session of drawings. I had company over and it was one of those nights. I started with a glass of Zinfandel, followed by a glass of Cabernet, and then a glass of Pinot Noir. Lordy! It's 1:45 am and I can't draw anymore tonight. I'll add a sober rendition of my favorite TV personality Tim Gunn tomorrow.
Make sure you check out Blogging Project Runway for great commentary on the show.
All drawings done with ink on paper in between 20 to 30 minutes.
If you enjoy looking at my drawings online, the next step would be having one or two or three in your home. Interested? Click on over to my etsy shop and take a gander. And your credit card. :) Much appreciated!

Sweet P is so beautiful the way she is sketched! I thought her dress should have won last night.
I am so glad you sketched Jack, he was one of my favorites and he was doing so great on the show. Not to mention he is totally HOT!
When I was watching the show last night, I kept thinking, "Kevin really DOES look like a centaur!":-)
I actually felt bad for Christian last night. His youthfulness made him vulnerable in the challenge this week, which for me, made him much more likable.
I loved when Chris asked his client, "What made you pick me?" when they showed his portfolio -- I would have picked him too! He is insane, I LOVE THAT!

The sketch of Sweet P was dead on. I think Ricky should have left, personally. He doesn't do it for me. Boy is he emotional. I went to prom twice, and I must say that I thought Chris' dress looked the most age appropriate and most like a prom dress. But I loved the quote of Ricky saying he made his girlfriend's prom dress, and that should have been a hint. That was hilarious. Oh and I must say, you have very sophisticated taste in wine! And do Pray, what is this talk about the Real Housewives of NYC I hear? Sweet baby jesus, is a new legacy about be born? It wouldn't be the same tho, there's no Vicki and no one can top Vicki. And yes, I realize this message is quite scattered. Sorry 'bout that DG.

I LOVED Ricky's statement about making his girlfriends Prom dress. Ahh those innocent (and long gone) days of being young and gay!
Sweet P is dead on. Kevin "The Centaur" I'll miss his geometric facial hair. I met Rami once years ago in L.A. He was really sweet and totally dreamy on the eyes. It was nice to also see that Christian had crazy misunderstood hair back in the days of his High School prom. Sure he's irritating but dammit I like him nonetheless. In fact I liked him more knowing that a High School Prom attendee could walk all over him.

Every time I see Kevin on TV, I can't help my initial reaction to think that his facial hair reminds me of the guy from 300.

I can tell by the way you drew these people that you like them: your pen rendered them all so beautiful in a unique way. (Makes me wish you lived next to me!)
