This is another one of my original paintings. The faces are made from clay then attached to a wooden panel. It's the same process as in the painting posted a few places down called Henry. With the clay, the faces stick out about two inches from the wooden support. I used some of my old lithographs and tore then up to make their clothes. (True you should never throw away old paintings, prints, and drawings.) I used other collaged bits and painted over all of it with acrylics. The final step is a resin coating. And voila..... the finished piece.
It measures 30" x 30".
I like this paint. There is something fascinating about their faces even when I hate the puppets (scares me!)...
