I'm powerless to resist frozen-faced reality tv stars passive-aggressively fighting over nothing. I hit pause on my dvr remote as Adrian Maloof, who looks like she's storing bags of walnuts in her cheeks, fought with Brandi, who is her match in terms of facial immobility. I did a quick sketch and then colored it in with MAC cosmetics: chromacake, full coverage foundation, paint sticks, pigments, eyeshadows..... :).

This is a little different..... Watching Taylor Armstrong's ice rink frozen-face on RHOBH as she went from anger to laughter to tears to who knows was definitely entertaining in a sad sick way. I hit pause on my dvr remote and did a quick pen sketch. Today I colored it in all with mac cosmetics: foundation, paint sticks, eyeliner, eyeshadow and blush. First time working like this. Fun stuff!

Martyn Lawrence Bullard is delicious!

This is Martyn Lawrence Bullard from Bravo's Million Dollar Decorators which began its second season last night. Martyn is a decorating dandy from the UK and he'll say things like, "I just found the perfect $50,000 pillow for Cher, it's delicious." Or, "I'm decorating Elton John's guest house and I just discovered a nesting table for $300,000 that will be perfect. It's delicious." Ok, I exagger

ate but also I'm not far off. Last night Martyn was all in a kerfuffle over a contractor who had fabricated a two million dollar fireplace (I kid) and then skipped town. Oh he was NOT having it. I hit pause on my dvr as he made that especially sour expression. It was DELICIOUS! I poke fun but I do like Martyn and his designs are pretty de-li-cious.

Jan-Michael + David Gilmore + body art

A year ago I body painted tennis star Jan-Michael Gambill with a large HIV awareness ribbon across his torso (his concept) as well another look.  The photos were gifts for his good friend Elton John and now those pieces are a part of EJ's collection.  An article in today's Spokane-Review did a write-up on him and used our photo.  The entire process of working on this was pretty freakin amazing.  The article didn't include my watermark but I threw one on there as things seem to get reposted  without credit.  Thanks Jan-Michael!

The Real Housewives of ATL. Meet Kenya.

This is new cast member Kenya and I've said it before and I'll say it again..... there's nothing like new crazy.  She has the aggression of Marlo and the ample BS reserve of Sheree (both no longer with the show) so does that mean Kenya is pulling the weight of two crazy people?  I'm going with yes on that.

Paint By Number featuring David Gilmore for MAC cosmetics in Miami.

The last scheduled stop for my Paint By Number project was this past week in Miami. It was a ton of fun and I'm sad to see it end.  Sigh.  Anyway here's the nearly finished model Charlz standing on the backdrop featuring my work.  Thanks MAC!

The Real Housewives of Miami.

Oh my.... I haven't posted any reality TV drawings in such a long time and I've picked an especially empty (yet full of filler) gal to sketch.  Her name is Lisa and she's part of an entirely unlikable batch of people on a show called The Real Housewives of Miami.  I've only seen two episodes of this mess and that just may be all I take.  Lisa is married to a plastic surgeon who has transformed her into a human sex-doll which may sound a little interesting but from what I've observed, she's really not.  The last episode I saw Lisa was hosting an underwear party that was attended by Joe Francis of Girls Gone Wild notoriety.  Yuck.  Yuck, yuck, yuck.  Not sure if I can watch this show again although there were some fun faces to draw.
