Are you watching the Rachel Zoe project on Bravo? The show, now in its fourth season, typically follows the styling phenom as she creates red carpet looks for the likes of Demi Moore, Cameron Diaz, Anne Hathaway, and countless others as well as styling magazine editorials and ad campaigns, and and and creating/ launching her own fashion label. Busy girl! This season she's 20 months pregnant yet still looks like she weighs in at 80 lbs. Ok, maybe 9 months prego and 85 lbs. In my opinion the bit of weight she gained during her pregnancy really suits her well. She's regularly way, way, way too thin and hopefully she'll keep some of the baby poundage on as it does favor her. Really quick, the above illustration started out a little less flattering..... I'd made her face a lot rougher and more weathered but as I started to color it, I kept smoothing out the surface and I may have gone too far. ??? She's grown on me this season being pregnant and actually eating and I suppose I wanted to do a more flattering look. :)
Anyway, Rachel isn't a one woman show and that's really what I want to discuss.....
Apparently he told her that he wanted a simpler life and then immediately signed with a management team and now is doing pretty well. Go Brad. A season four that was just Rachel and her husband would be dullsville times 1,000 in my opinion. So what did they do? They hired an even more adorable gay guy named Jeremiah who was even more relatable. He's a young, hunky furniture maker without a hint of "I'm so over this" in his character. Jeremiah was hired without a specific job titled as he was expected to prove himself as a jack of all trades type. Actually his specific job for this Bravo season was to be the likable eye candy. And he was. Without any fashion styling experience and with little apparent guidance he, well, seemed to have a bit of a challenge finding his exact spot until he was allowed/ forced to decorate Rachel's newly rented 7,000 sq ft home in something like a week. A totally do-able task, right?
The other challenge Jeremiah had to face was Rachel's best friend/ hairstylist/ makeup artist Joey. This season he relocated from NYC to LA to be with and help Rachel as well as to become a stylist. I don't know who is copying who, but Joey and Rachel are basically the same person. They have the exact same voice, same speech pattern, and same language: like, it's amaze, like it's everything, like I'm obsessed, like......... I don't know Joey so I'm just responding to what I see on TV and what he's projecting makes me cringe. I have gay friends who fall all along the spectrum of feminine to masculine and I don't give a shit if someone is, and I hate to say it, but femmy (you know what I mean) or if they're ultra butch. It doesn't matter as long as they're a good, thoughtful, funny, and interesting person. That's all I care about. If you're queeny, be a good, thoughtful, funny, and interesting queen and we'll be friends forever. What I do not like and what Joey seems to posses is weaponized queeniness. That's when someone's queeniness turns catty and mean and is used in a hurtful manner. It's like Joey was hazing Jeremiah (or gazing) as he'd say "I know Rachel's taste, she wouldn't like that" to something he selected. Or just have an overall air of bitchiness towards Jeremiah which clearly affected him and seemed to play upon his new-at-work awkwardness. If you're watching the show then you know what I mean.
This is a spoiler alert about Jeremiah so stop now if you haven't seen this week's show. Remember, don't read on........ As Rachel is about to give birth and will be away for two months, Jeremiah is stuck without really having a clear job and so..... sadly..... a vintage Chanel axe severed his work relationship with Zoe inc. If Bravo is wise, they'll keep Jeremiah around til the end of the season as he adds the right element to the mix.
Anyway........ that's my two cents about the show. I do think it's a fun watch. What do y'all think about it?

Couldn't agree more with your take on Joey. Does anyone ever get trained in that company? I felt bad for Jeremiah too. If Joey hadn't arrived, I think he would have found his way..
Congratulations on your shout out from Andy Cohen!!

And I agree with you Rosie, I feel if Joey didn't move to Cali, Jeremiah would have found his way!

Rachel Zoe is a bitch. I can't believe that they hire Jeremiah, didn't train him and then fired him for that. He is so much better than all of them. Rachel your a grown business woman, a soon to be mom, talk like one. Really your gagging for everything. You are a princess bitch, and if I ever saw any of your clothing I would walk away from it. It would gag me. Your husband is gay, just so you know, and your business manager is a rude cow. I hope all of you get cancelled, then you would know what poor Jeremiah is going through.....

I love Jerimiah....so fucking cute! Adorbs! And nothing like Brad...sorry but I got sick of him always complaining and the greed. I read he is getting his own show on bravo. I used to like joey when he was more silent. I always adored rachel and she is super when pregnant, she should have more babies.
