I'd like to introduce you to a sleek and shining, up and coming supermodel. 19-year-old Aussie model Andrej Pejic is a male but thanks to his gender-neutral look, he's been tearing up the NYC catwalks in both men and women's clothing. Get it!
Would you be able to tell that's a male? And if you could, would it matter? I'll go ahead and answer no and no. Above Pejic is wearing a Gaultier gown which was also recently worn by Rihanna at the 2011 Grammy Awards. Again, get it! Here are a couple more photos of Andrej.
According to this great article in the Post, Pejic is the first model to walk in New York fashion shows for both genders. And........ as women typically make 35 to 50% more than men, Andrej is commanding and getting the same rate of a female model.
“It’s an industry, and this is my job. It’s not really a political movement,” Pejic says. “I guess the people that use me do that. But yeah, hopefully that does translate into a move into mainstream society.”
Well said. Article orignally found on Kenneth In The 212

Love it! Nicely put. In fashion, art and entertainment, there is simply no room for limits, especially when it comes to something as mercurial as gender identification! And if you're Lady Gaga, you don't even have to be HATCHED to be a super duper fashion statement sensation! Who knew that my fallopian tubes were housing the next 'thing'?! Have a gorgeous weekend, thanks, as always for sharing your thoughts and pics and keeping me somewhat hip.
