It has sadly been an eternity since I've posted about my nephew and his mannequin muse Martinique. For those of you who are new to my site or if you'd like a refresher than just click here to get all caught up. As a super quick reminder--- my nephew is what I'd like to call glamor-focused meaning he's well versed in the fine art of fabulousness meaning he's a mega fashion designer in training. He'll take stray bits of fabric mix with pieces from his favorite store, Forever 21, and create perfectly styled outfits on Martinique, snap a photo, and then send me the results.... all to my great pleasure. It's nearly impossible to wipe the smile off my face after I see one of his creations.

The second half of the two part reunion show aired last night so I guess that means it's officially done, right? I'd like to get that notarized by Bravo if I could? Is it just me or has this season lasted an eternity......... kinda thought it would just go on and on and on forever actually. I'm sure there will be a lost footage episode or two with un-aired clips of: Danielle relentlessly retelling the night Ashley pulled her hair to that sweaty, ex-con posse, Kim D launching her own jockstrap line sold exclusively at Posche (I swear she's packing a dick), and Kim G grinding her dusty muffin on a stripper pole..... or maybe all those scenes have already been shown???? Anyway those two reunions shows were certainly way, way, way more entertaining than the season as a whole. Caroline's wide-eyed reactions as her head swiveled side to side at every little thing Danielle said and her barking "answer my question, answer my question, ANSWER MY QUESTION!!!!!!!!" stood out as the constants in this inconsistent drama swamp. She inspired me to make my very first .gif. Here goes......

Here's a little show and tell of some of my work. I have in two distinct styles that I'm exploring. One way is to create an optical trick that a body painted model photographed standing in front of a painted canvas appears as though they're a flat image. Like this and this. The other style also involves painting a backdrop which corresponds to the artwork on the model but this style which is featured above is more in the graffiti direction. I create a free-form scrolling mass of details which travels up, over and around the body. If some of the painting on the body blurs and becomes one with the art on the backdrop--- then all the better. More in the second half on the posting.
